Position
As an NGS Specialist at Alithea Genomics, you will be instrumental in our RNA-seq service and sequencing
teams, where precision, accuracy, and quality are paramount. This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-
edge NGS technologies, ensuring the reliability of our products and services, and collaborating with a dedicated
team of professionals in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute RNA-seq library preparation protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and NGS instruments.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks of sequencing libraries and manufactured kits.
- Collaborate closely with team members to meet service targets and ensure quality.
- Document experimental procedures and results, write and revise SOPs.
Qualifications
• BSc or MSc degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with general molecular biology techniques, including practical experience
with NGS library preparation.
• Familiarity with NGS sequencing platforms and associated software is a strong advantage.
• Experience with or familiarity with laboratory automation is considered a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to scientific quality and excellence.
• Previous experience working in a genomics research, biotechnology, or manufacturing laboratory is
strongly preferred.
